- the rainbowbridge -

There is a bridge connecting Heaven and Earth. It is called the Rainbow Bridge, because of its many colors.
Just this side of the Rainbow Bridge there is a land of meadows, hills and valleys with lush green grass.
When a beloved pet dies, they go to this place. There is always food, water and warm spring weather.
Those old and fail animals are young going again. Those who have been maimed are made whole again.
They play all day with each other. But there is only one thing missing.
They are not with their special person who loved them on Earth.
So, each day they run and play until the day comes when one suddenly stops playing and looks up.
The nose twitches, the ears are up, the eyes are staring... And this one suddenly runs from the group.
You have been seen
And when you and your special friend meet. You take them in your arms... and embrace.
Your faces is kissed again and again
And again you look once more into the eyes of your trusting pet.
Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together never again to be separated

Wiebertje died in august 2009.
Nobody knew her age, she lived here before we came. She slept in our shed and never came inside the house. But of course she got her own plate and hug around dinnertime and she was always pleasant company when we worked in the garden. We miss her very much.

Miepsie past away. The suffering would have become too much for her.
She lived with us 13 years. She moved with us to our farm and went through the start of our cattery.
We'll never forget all the love she gave us.

Our dear Lance has died after a long and happy life. He was 18 years and three months old, which corresponds with 91 human years. He was the favorite for all the other cats and the sign on our banner. During the last months of his life he was the oldest known and registrated Maine Coon in Holland. We'll truly miss him and we're also very thankfull that we could live so long together with him.

Tico past away in december 2012. The cause is unclear. Tico was the only Maine Coon who was allowed to walk around in our garden, just as Wiebertje did in the past. Tico was an enterprising hurricane, but also strongly attached and really clever. She was very sweet but full of tricks. We'll always miss her extensive greetings when we came home. She left us beautiful and lovely mcmary kittens. In certain ways she was one of our favorites.

Sweet brave Viertje didn't make it. After a few weeks flat-chest developed. No advices and treatments worked to handle her handicap.
